Whizz Education is proud to be a partner in FATES of Africa, a research initiative funded under the UK’s Responsible AI (RAI) programme. The project focuses on embedding responsible AI practices into online education across sub-Saharan Africa. Led by the University of Southampton, it brings together academics, EdTech providers, and community partners, with Whizz Education contributing expertise in adaptive learning technology, school engagement, and practical implementation.
The project’s goal is to co-develop a scalable, ethically grounded pipeline for AI in education, ensuring that learners, educators, and communities actively shape design decisions. Key themes include data sovereignty, cultural and contextual relevance, equity of access, and building trust in AI-enabled learning. Whizz’s role includes participating in stakeholder consultations, co-designing tools, and ensuring that responsible AI principles are translated into classroom realities.
